Want a lively neighbourhood with a casual atmosphere? Look no further than downtown Guelph’s real estate. The downtown core is filled with the trendiest stores and restaurants, and you can see the streets come alive at night when the bars fill up with students and young adults. If you want to get super casual, just grab a slice of pizza from your pick of delicious spots–and watch the ice skaters doing their thing at City Hall.
There are plenty of options when it comes to downtown real estate, like newer condo buildings by Tricar, community developments with condos and townhouses like The Metalworks, and other converted factories that are now hip loft-style properties. You’ll also find renovated bungalows, charming older homes, and detached houses with income potential throughout the real estate downtown.
So many great restaurants, so little time. There are tons of great shops and eateries on the downtown strip, it can be tough to pick one. Our favourites include Bin 23, a quaint space with excellent food that’s perfect for special occasions, and Baker Street, which is always packed thanks to it’s unique menu. Great patios and delicious food can be found at Buon Gusto, Earth to Table Bread Bar, and La Cucina if you want Italian and a view of City Hall. If you’re looking for some classic pub food, head to Woolwich Arrow, which also has bands on select evenings, or McCabe’s Irish Pub and Grill, perfect for summer drinks when the glass doors roll up.
